We live in a time of single-use objects. The implication is that by constantly renewing the objects surrounding us, we forget death. Or simply – we forget. Virtually the sole escape from this state of affairs is to transform the object into an art-work, i.e. something special, unique, eternal....

The edges have always been there, beyond the horizon, awaiting our arrival, eager to show us their secretsג€¦
And we respond, crossing borders to discover, out of curiosity, out of the compulsion of temptation, like a subversive reconnaissance unit (avangarde) setting out ahead of the column for a continual monitoring of the seismograph at the edges.
